  1. If you are not too attached to your fingers and hands, go ahead. It will most likely explode. Zippo fluid burns slower.
  2. Lighter fluid is all you can use. That's what it's made for.
  3. Seroiusly, Are you that Lame? No you can't use normal gas......you have to use zippo lighter fluid unless you want to blow yourself up.
  4. do not go past go or collect 2 hundred dollars on this question. Get some lighter fluid so we do not have another statistics.
  5. as long as you are careful you can.It will evaporate faster though.
  6. No alternative, unless you want to pay a visit to your local emergency room.
  7. Not the brightest crayon in the box, are you?
  8. umm don't try that just to save a few bucks just get lighter fluid.
  9. Absolutely not unless you want to kill yourself or get serious burns to your face and hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lighters take a type of fuel, like white spirits & nothing else!!! Cheers, either give up smoking if you can't afford the proper fuel...
  10. it may be alittle risky but yes you can what do you think vietnam soldiers used when they didnt have lighter fluid
  11. Sure you can. I don't think it is as volatile as people seem to think. It isn't as clean burning and will give off a black smoke. My father, who was over-seas in the army during WW2 said that many of the vehicles had a piece of wire attached close to the fuel tank so the soldiers could hook their Zippos to them and dip them in the fuel tank to fill them up. I seriously doubt that any of them died from a exploding Zippo. ...Good Luck... PS. Something I was not aware of: Zippo's were first produced in 1932, and during WW2 were not available to consumers during the war, but were sent to the military. http://www.zippodirect.com.au/index.html
